FIES Sumenep Student Win Awards at the 2025 National FABI Competition

MALANG, EAST JAVA – Students from Fathimah International Elementary School (FIES) Sumenep made their school proud by winning awards at the national Grand Final of the Indonesian Talented Kids Festival (FABI) 2025. The competition was held by Emerald Education Center at Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Seven students from FIES took part in the event, competing in three subjects: English, Science, and Mathematics. For English Level 1, the participants were Pramudhita Kayyisa Almeera, Adifa Zhafiratur Rumaiza, Faira Mesa Ainayah, and Raffi Arkana Arifin. In Mathematics Level 1, FIES was represented by Akhmad Junaid Maisyaa, Muhammad Ahsan Halim, and Rafi Rofdan Ridhwanullah.

Two FIES students won medals in this prestigious event. Rafi Rofdan Ridhwanullah earned a bronze medal in Mathematics, and Pramudhita Kayyisa Almeera received a silver medal in English.

The FABI competition was joined by thousands of students from elementary schools across Java and Bali. It included three subjects: English, Math, and Science, divided into different grade levels. The success of FIES students shows the positive impact of strong learning habits and school support.

Principal of FIES Sumenep, Rate Seftinindias Dwi Kumala, M.Pd., expressed her pride in the students’ achievements. “We are very proud of Rofdan and Almeera. This shows that our students can confidently compete at the national level with great abilities. We hope this achievement inspires other students to keep learning enthusiastically,” she said.

This success proves FIES’s commitment to academic excellence and character development. The school continues to create a learning environment that supports every student’s potential. As background, these seven students had previously passed the district-level selection on April 27, 2025, before qualifying for the grand final round. (*)
